Lupad is a senior thesis film made by Carpio during his last year at California College of the Arts. The film is about a young boy who wakes up to find that he has become an Aswang (Filipino vampire). At first, the boy is afraid of his transformation and he learns to accept himself by meeting his Lola (grandma).

Rain or Shine is a short film created for the Creator's Jam, the yearly animation short competition hosted by the Creators Society. Carpio was the animator for Rain or Shine and this was his first project collaborating with industry professionals.THE METEOROLOGISTS

Jesse Carpio (he/him) is a Filipino-American animator based in California. He uses Toon Boom Harmony 22 and TvPaint 11 for hand-drawn animation. He keeps busy by drawing on his tablet or button-smashing Sett on League of Legends. Carpio studied at California College of the Arts and received a B.F.A. in Animation.Email: [email protected]
